SOLAS – World’s Largest Range

SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea) Regulations dictates that all yachts over 500GRT should be provided with a Rescue Boat that meets SOLAS requirements.

Rib-X offer a range of British designed and British built SOLAS tenders from 5.0 to 7.5 meters. The SOLAS Rescue Boat is designed to act as a man-over-board recovery boat and provide a marshalling vessel for life rafts in the event of abandoning the mother ship.

All rescue craft are engineered to comply with the most stringent requirements for a SOLAS tender, that said they are built to the same finish and offer the same functionality as our regular tenders, affectively offering the yacht the capability of carrying less tenders yet still fully complying safety regulations.

Regulations affect virtually every component on a SOLAS approved tender, from the hull construction, the systems, engines, equipment, tubes etc all have to be built to exacting standards, there needs to be assurance of quality control throughout the entire build process through established and approved manufacturing standards and processes.

Rib-X also offer a custom designed service for approved tenders, using our extensive experience, we know the challenges that lay in front of obtaining approvals for “one offs”. The standards are exacting for a reason and we believe that working within the stringent regulations should not preclude an owner from obtaining an approved tender that has their influence upon it.
